Game Recap

The Pirate defense kept Malvern from scoring all day (their only touchdown came on an interception return) and the Pirates rolled to a 38-6 victory. After the Pirates took a 14-0 lead in the second quarter, the Malvern Hornets intercepted a screen pass and took it 60 yards for a touchdown to make it interesting. That’s as interesting as it got. The Pirates scored again in the second quarter and went into halftime with a 16 point cushion and the ball to start the second half. The Pirates scored on that opening drive and were sailing towards a hard fought 38-6 victory. The Pirates scored 5 touchdowns on the day and were 4 of 5 on 2 point conversions. The offensive line is really jelling nicely and allowed Zack Bickford to sling the ball around the field all day. The also did a great job of opening up running lanes for Ethan Miller and Jaydon Miller. The Pirate JV team travels to Claymont on Saturday.
